Bow. Bow and bow again. Jonathan Saunders will always have a special place in my heart. Every collection he creates, is so breathtaking. Yes. It can be a bit much for most. For me? His collections are timesless yet stuck in an era. His collections are feminine, child like, sophisticated yet playful. This collection proves me right. Mary Tyler Moore much?! ugh. give it to me.
Once again, One of my favorite Collections from the Resort 2013 shows come from Marni. Marni seems to embody everything I love in fashion. Drab colors blended with Sky blues and yellows with prints of a fly swatter net. Oranges suffocated in Burnt Sienna. Outrageous color blocking that only a forward girl can pull off. This is my favorite color family, the 50’s. Consuelo Castiglioni definitely rocks at her own beat, and my head is bopping to and fro, up and down- hell. in circles if you will. I LOVE THIS COLLECTION. NOT ONE PIECE is counted out.
Do you have what it takes to pull off this pristine collection?
HEDI SLIMANE is changing the name of Yves Saint Laurent to Saint Laurent Paris as part of his makeover for the label. Slimane took over from Stefano Pilati as the fashion house’s new creative director in March this year.
The new name is expected to be introduced in the coming months and should be implemented by the time Slimane’s debut spring/summer 2013 collection lands in stores, WWD reports. The designer will use the same font and nomenclature that the label’s eponymous founder first used when he launched his ready-to-wear line in 1966, then called Saint Laurent River Gauche.
A spokesperson for the label told WWD that Slimane will use the house’s “original branding” in order to restore “the house to its truth, purity and essence – and taking it into a new era”, while “respecting the original principles and ideals”. The brand’s logo will also remain the same.
Slimane’s debut pre spring/summer 2013 collection will be shown to a small group of buyers imminently, while his first catwalk show will be unveiled during Paris Fashion Week – which starts on September 25 and finishes October 3.
My friend Guinevere Van Seenus is looking Radiant as ever in the new Prada Spring/Summer 2012 ad campaign.
Not like Giunevere has ever looked bad in a photo, though. She is even more gorgeous in person.
